THE COMPANY: Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing, global company specializing in the design, manufacture and support of laboratory gas generators predominately for the life science market. We have been developing award-winning gas generation products since 1997 and now employ more than 500 people globally in 26 international offices.
 
Due to continuing success and growth, we are looking for a Service Sales Specialist to support our operations in Singapore and South East Asia. Peak Singapore was established in 2012 and currently has a team of 14 employees. 
 
THE ROLE: Reporting to the Service Sales Manager-SEA the Service Sales Specialist will be responsible for:
  • Making out-bound phone call, email and customer visit to a variety of companies and sales channels to capture quotes/ orders for Service Contracts
  • Responsible for individual sales targets and KPI.
  • To follow up on pending quotes and to update the quote report with the proper notes and status of the quote
  • Utilize sales tools to profile and gather sales opportunity intelligence
  • Cultivate relationships with key account and end customers to ensure their needs are being met and to uncover opportunities up/ cross selling.
  • Updating CRM system with all relevant customer information and orders
  • Maintaining records of generator locations and warranty registrations
  • Working closely with Peak service department and sales department in logistically organizing the facilitation of maintenance contracts
  • Maintain effective working relationships with global service sales personnel for development of business specific to all territories.
  • Forecasting the upcoming service visits for monthly parts orders.
  • Monitoring and reporting of service sales figures.
  • Providing support for the sale of spare parts for the SEA region.
  • Developing a strong working relationship with Sales Support Administrator based in Singapore
  • Administrative matters, e.g. following up on processing, rectifying incorrect orders, minutes writing.
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned by management
 
THE CANDIDATE:
  • Should have some knowledge of electronics, compressor and mechanical systems
  • Experience in aftermarket sales in similar or related industry will be an advantage
  • Business to Business Sales Experience Preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP advantageous
  • Able to demonstrate strong business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Diploma/Degree in Scientific or Engineering discipline
  • Ability to carry a business conversation with business owners and decision makers
  • High level of attention to details
  • Timely follow-up
  • Self-motivated, self-disciplined and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
