THE COMPANY: Peak Scientific Instruments is a fast–growing, global company specialising in the design, manufacture and support of laboratory gas generators predominately for the life science market. We have been developing award-winning gas generation products since 1997 and now employ 480 people globally in 20 international offices.
 
Due to continuing success and growth, we are looking for a Service Sales Specialist to join our team in Australia. Peak Australia was established in 2010 and currently has a team of 6 employees, with plans to expand over the next few years.  Peak’s Service department plays a vital part in our day to day business and is responsible for 1/3 of the total sales revenue of the company. There is room for exceptional growth within this division, and this role presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales driven individual.
 
THE ROLE: Based at our office in Port Melbourne, reporting to the Country Manager, the Service Sales Specialist will be responsible for the direct service sales of the [Peak Protected] portfolio including selling new business, renewals, paid service & parts by phone and email communication. Key tasks of this role will include:
  • Work heavily with Peak’s ERP/ CRM system to correctly enter data for service sales leads, opportunities, quotations and order processing, assuring customer satisfaction and streamline back office processing
  • Identify new accounts, customers, leads & opportunities for service sales
  • Maintain current accounts, customers, leads, opportunities and renewals for generator services and plans.
  • Call customers to advise of service status and service options for their gas generator
  • Inside sales (call/ email) of Peak Service plans, paid service and parts sales + follow up
  • Processing service quotations, plans and advising Service admin to assign service tickets
  • Educate and update OEM’s and resellers of [Peak Protected] products
 
THE CANDIDATE: You will be self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new skills and work with minimal supervision. In addition, you will have the following:
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Solid Word, Excel and general typing capability
  • General workflow and data management with ability to prioritise
