Service Sales Specialist - Massachusetts

Peak Scientific Instruments is an award winning Scottish Company, specializing in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market. Due to continued global expansion we are recruiting for a talented Service Sales Specialist (Inside Sales Specialist) in our North American Headquarters in Billerica, MA.

Working with our existing customer base, you will be selling and educating our customers on our Peak Protected Service Contracts. You will have your own territory and the opportunity to work with our end – users and reseller partners. Customer focused, with the drive the succeed and real focus on teamwork, you will bring an upbeat, motivated attitude, experience of working to sales targets and the ability to exceed customer expectations at every opportunity.

Our current turnover is $50m, with plans to grow significantly over the next few years. We export 90% of our sales to approximately 126 countries and now employ over 440 employees across 20 global offices.

Peak’s Service Organization plays a vital part in our day to day business and is responsible for 1/3 of the total sales revenue of the company. There is room for exceptional growth within this division, and this role presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, sales driven individual.

Reporting to the Service Sales Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Educating and selling Service Contracts to existing Peak customers.

  • Proactively contacting and calling companies and sales channels to capture quotes/orders.

  • Closing sales and providing advice & guidance to our customers.

  • Managing a varied work load and prioritizing daily to achieve targets and exceed customer expectation.

  • Cultivating relationships with customers to ensure their needs are being met and to uncover opportunities up/cross selling.

  • Nurturing relationships with existing customers to retain loyalty whilst developing customer service opportunities

  • Working closely with Peak service departments and sales departments.

  • Maintaining effective working relationships with global sales personnel for development of business specific to all territories.

  • Accurately preparing and recording sales orders utilizing our CRM (SAP)

  • Updating CRM system with all relevant customer information and orders

You will also possess:

  • Inside Sales experience or equivalent relevant experience

  • Proven ability to generate and close sales opportunities

  • Strong customer focus and high levels of self -motivation

  • A relevant college degree would be desirable but not essential.
