Technical Operator

We are currently looking to recruit a Technical Operator to join our production team. This role will be responsible for the manufacture and testing of manufactured units and sub-assemblies, ensuring products are built in line with approved processes, quality standards and productivity targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture units and sub-assemblies in line with defined processes and work instructions
- Meet expected quality and productivity targets, which are key performance measures
- Process manufactured parts through approved test procedures
- Manufacture nitrogen and hydrogen generators, including mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies
- Carry out component testing including leak and purity testing
- Perform generator functionality testing (electrical, leak, purity and flow checks)
- Fault find and analyse issues with a technical and functional understanding
- Work to Peak’s high quality standards at all times
- Comply fully with Peak’s health and safety policies and procedures
- Engage with Engineering to ensure integrity of BOMs and processes
- Work closely with Materials and Warehouse teams to ensure stock integrity and resolve shortages
- Liaise with Engineering and QA to complete specific tasks as required
- Report and escalate issues to the Team Lead and work cross-functionally to resolve them
- Live and demonstrate Peak’s values in day-to-day work
What We’re Looking For
- Manufacturing or assembly experience, involving small or intricate components
- Strong attention to detail, with emphasis on cleanliness and repeatable processes
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks to a high standard
- Knowledge of manual hydraulic presses (advantageous but not essential)
- Awareness of pressure vessels or pressure systems (desirable)
- Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to continuous improvement; 6S knowledge is an advantage
- Mature outlook with the ability to work unsupervised
- Willingness to embrace new challenges within a growing company
