Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing company specialising in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market is looking to hire a Technical Operator.
We have gained an outstanding reputation in the market place, having recently won our 6th Queen’s award for industry. We have plans to grow significantly over the next few years. 90% of our products are exported to over 100 countries and we have a number of global offices including USA, China, South Africa, India, Brazil, Singapore, Mexico and Australia.
POSITION
Reporting to the Production Team Leader, the key tasks will be to manufacture electrical sub-assemblies and complete units to approved quality standards in set times as well as processing the units through approved test procedures to comply with specifications.
Other main functions will include:

Assisting in order kitting process as required

Fault finding and analysis

Engaging with Materials and Warehouse Teams to ensure stock integrity, expediting shortages, kitting – as required.

Engaging with QA regarding final inspection
IDEAL CANDIDATE

Skills required:
-
Experience from a similar manufacturing background
-
Basic electrical knowledge – preparation of basic harness assembly incl. soldering and crimping techniques

Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivator and team player
