Technical Product Specialist

As Technical Product Specialist reporting to the Head of Technical – North America, you will support all Technical Sales enquiries, generator and spare part sales, and projects for our Territory Managers, Manufacturers Reps, Customers, OEMs and Office teams.  

Duties will include:

  • Working closely with Territory Managers, Manufacturer’s Reps to understand the customer’s needs and pain points, to effectively link to our product features and benefits.
  • Preparing iFlow quotations in SAP B1 to be tendered to prospective customers.
  • Creating technical drawings to provide layout/generator plans for customers.
  • Continuously monitoring the industry trends and customer feedback, to anticipate future market needs and report the findings to product management for the purpose of new product development.
  • Undertaking extensive technical training on all Peak and non-Peak products, i.e., external compressors, and participate in continuous partnership discussions and ongoing educational classes with vendors.
  • In conjunction with Head of Technical, NA, support the management of 3PP supplier relationships including annual pricing negotiations, part setup and escalations of any nature.

In addition you will have an Associate’s degree or technical school background, a strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and the ability to read/follow electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic diagrams.

 You will also possess:

  • Complete and detailed understanding of pressure systems and transportable gases.
  • Experience with CAD Drawing
  • Good practical skills and a methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Able to interface comfortably and effectively both internally and externally at all levels.
