Technical Product Specialist - Massachusetts

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Product Specialist to join our US team, located in Billerica, Massachusetts. 
 
Peak Inc. is the rapidly expanding North American arm of Peak Scientific, with its main US office located in Billerica, Massachusetts, and plans for further significant growth over the next few years. You would be joining a North American team of around 55 staff, including dedicated sales and field service engineer teams covering the whole of mainland US and key territories in Canada.
 
THE ROLE: Reporting to the North American Industrial Sales Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the North American Sales team by understanding customer requirements in order to size and quote iFlow solutions along with 3rd party products, as well as providing ongoing technical support to the sales team.
 
Your main job functions will include:
  • Working with new and prospective customers as well as Peak Territory Sales Managers and distributors daily to identify product specifications and customer needs.
  • Working closely with the Peak Territory Sales Managers and distributors to create product quote packages based on customers specific applications.
  • Using drafting software such as SolidWorks or Draftsight to create layout and P&ID drawings as part of the quote package and as needed.
  • Use hand and power tools working with an Electromechanical assembler to assemble and test iFlow nitrogen generators and custom skid packages.
  • Building strong relationships and work productively with support groups within the Peak business units, e.g. Marketing, Service, Training, Product Management and Engineering.
  • Effectively build and maintain relationships with customers, prospects colleagues, and distribution partners.
THE CANDIDATE: You will have a Certificate or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or an equivalent Electro-Mechanical program, with experience of drafting software, basic layout and P&ID drawings. You will also be knowledgeable in manufacturing processes with math and engineering logic skills, with a mechanical aptitude and ability to operate small hand and power tools. You will be enthusiastic and proactive, with the ability to learn quickly and a willingness to take responsibility and ownership of multiple tasks. With the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, you will be flexible with the ability to multi-task and set priorities. Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are essential. In addition you will have an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
