Technical Support Specialist - Japan

With this continuing success and growth we are looking for a Technical Support Specialist to support our Japan operations.

THE ROLE: Reporting to the Country manager, this role will be based in Tokyo. Your main job functions will include:

  • Provide a high level of technical support for our customers and business partners
  • In conjunction with the Senior FSE, schedule all field service activities including Planned Maintenance Visits and Breakdown visits, adhering to Service Level Agreements
  • Management of Inventory, including ordering and shipping all parts.
  • Maintain records of all telephone calls, install base, service contract schedule
  • Liaise with Global Technical Manager reporting product issues and field failures on a monthly basis
  • Report all commercially sensitive escalations to the Country Manager in a timely fashion

THE CANDIDATE: You will have the following skills sets and experience:

  • Experience in this type of engineering technical support role advantageous
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of electronics and mechanical systems
  • Previous knowledge of remote fault finding
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • Ability to follow schematics
