Technical Trainer - USA

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Trainer to join our Service Delivery Support division based in Billerica.

Peak Inc. is the rapidly expanding North American arm of Peak Scientific, with its main US office located in Billerica, Massachusetts, and plans for further significant growth over the next few years. You would be joining a North American team of around 60 staff, including dedicated sales and field service engineer teams covering the whole of mainland US and key territories in Canada.

Reporting to the Service Manager, this role will be responsible for managing and delivering training initiatives in line with Peaks business needs in North America. You will deliver Technical Training on our product portfolio plus regular updates to our Field Service Engineers (FSEs), Tech Support Team, Sales Teams and Distributors. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for identifying, managing and delivering a wider range of training initiatives to our Service teams such as customer service training.  The role will involve significant liaison with our Global Technical Training Manager and Global Business Development Manager (Industrial) who is responsible for growing our distributor network.

 Your main job functions will include:

  • Developing and delivering business wide technical training initiatives that align with the goals and mission of the NA Sales and Service teams
  • Supporting the Technical Training for our industrial distributors
  • Assuming instructional design responsibilities as required to execute the development of learning programs that meet business demands in North America
  • Ensuring programme delivery quality and continuous improvement, monitor programme delivery approaches to continue pace with business growth
  • Assisting the Global Technical Training Manager in their review of the LMS system, ensuring it is fit for purpose and meets ongoing needs of the business in NA and Globally
  • Providing data analytics, reporting the effectiveness of the training initiatives
  • Liaising with key stakeholders across the NA business to establish the wider training needs

You will have experience of designing and implementing custom learning programs using a variety of delivery methods with the application of best practices in instructional design and adult education. Ideally, you’ll have demonstrable experience in instructional design in both ILT and e-learning and ability to create training material using software such as Adobe Captivate.

You will possess:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to large audiences
  • Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while meeting project demands
  • Able to interface comfortably and effectively both internally and externally with a broad spectrum of personalities
  • Managing people and budgets in addition to a good understanding of Health and Safety as it impacts the position
