Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing company specialising in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market is looking to recruit a Territory Manager – Industrial to cover industrial sales across the West, Midwest and Southeast regions. Reporting to the Industrial Sales Manager – North America, this role will involve travel across the United States as well as occasional travel to other parts of the world and may be based in locations near to US airport hubs, including but not limited to; Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, or Las Vegas.
Peak Inc. is the rapidly expanding North American arm of Peak Scientific, with its US HQ located in Billerica, Massachusetts, and plans for significant further growth over the next few years. You would be joining a North American team of around 50 staff, including dedicated sales and field service engineer teams covering the whole of mainland US and key territories in Canada.
With robust experience of selling within industrial markets, you will have full accountability for all sales activities from lead generation through close. You will thrive on working collaboratively with sales and support teams to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction, exceed revenue generation targets and manage key accounts within your region.
You will be responsible for the following:
Managing a territory consisting of many customers across various industrial markets
Prospecting and cold calling to establishes new customers by managing a sales pipeline and developing and delivering proposals to customers by illustrating Peak Scientific’s value proposition
Selling consultatively, detailing products, determining customer needs and requirements, and making recommendations to both prospects and customers of the various solutions we can offer their business
Working with the Industrial Sales Manager to develop strategic territory business plans for achievement of sales growth and quota attainment
Developing and maintaining a technical knowledge of the various industrial markets and applications.
The successful candidate will have:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with customers, colleagues and manufacturers
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to effectively communicate with engineers, plant managers and maintenance staff
Proven solution sales experience, preferably selling in industrial or compressor industry
Ability to work independently to successfully manage time and territory
Strong analytical skills with the ability to sell strategically within an account
Strong IT skills with a proactive approach to managing CRM
College degree or equivalent experience.
