An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Territory Manager for Malaysia & Thailand to make a significant contribution to the growth of this award-winning, international technology business.
Peak Scientific is a global market leader in the design, manufacture and servicing of instrument gas generators for analytical laboratories. THE ROLE:
Reporting to General Manager JAPAC in the interim, and working closely with Territory Manager SEA, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring that sales targets are met and exceeded as well as maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with existing customers, distributors and OEMs.
Your main responsibilities will include -
  • Prospecting, developing, and growing Industrial business sector and products in this portfolio 
  • Achieving sales budget for Scientific business sector
Other key elements –
  • Focused key account and relationship development plan with our key customers, sales channels and users
  • Creating, developing and maintaining a sales funnel for Industrial business sector
  • Intensive prospecting – this will take up 50% of your work and time
  • Monthly travel to Thailand, with periodic visits to Singapore as JAPAC’s regional hub
  • Learn and be guided by Territory Manager SEA based in Singapore for Scientific business sector; eventual reporting channel shall be to this position
  • Developing a strong working relationship with Sales Coordinator based in Singapore, who will be your main administrative support
  • Working closely with regional service team and Field Service Engineers in Malaysia and Thailand to develop business and serve our customers holistically
  • Product Knowledge – be well-versed in Peak’s product offering
  • Gathering and submitting market information as a working norm
  • Well-versed in company’s CRM and other admin systems 
  • Timely and accurate submissions of sales reports and forecasts
  • Ensuring all sales margins and discount levels are maintained and adhered to
  • Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Attending team meetings and share best practice with colleagues

THE CANDIDATE:
Previous sales experience in industrial gas/industrial gas generation is essential as well as a Technical degree, or diploma.
An excellent technical and commercial problem-solver with highly-developed business acumen, you are a tactful but rigorous negotiator and strategic planner, able to cover your extensive territory very effectively.  Happy to operate with independence and autonomy and with intense customer focus, you will have:
  • a “Hunter” personality

  • excellent command of English and well-versed in Behasa Malaysia

  • the ability to develop robust business relationships

  • sufficient flexibility, agility and energy to tackle this busy, high-profile role.
