THE COMPANY: Peak Scientific Instruments are a multi award winning company, who specialises in the manufacturing of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, with our head office based in our modern facility near Glasgow International airport in Scotland.

We have been developing award-winning gas generation products since 1997 and now employ 425 people globally in 20 international offices, with a turnover of £45M. Over the last five years the company has enjoyed impressive annual growth between 25 and 30%, overall and 60% growth across the service division, selling 90% of our gas generator products overseas to over 120 countries.  Individuals who fit our culture and values will have a high degree of professionalism but appreciate our non- corporate feel in a fun atmosphere.

With this continuing success and growth, we are looking for a Territory Manager to drive sales and profitability with our end users as well as our OEM Accounts and our distributor network in UK South for all Peak Scientific Products.

THE ROLE: Reporting to the Senior Territory Manager – UK & Northern Europe you will be based in the Midlands or further South with travel around UK and will be responsible for:

  • Building and growing the business within the territory using a variety of sales techniques.
  • Targeting potential customers and assessing opportunities for sales by offering sales advice and support on a technical platform.
  • Arranging meetings with potential customers and business partners and promoting and selling the Peak products and services.
  • Putting together a list of target customers within territory and cold calling in order to establish customer needs.
  • Working to, and exceeding, revenue targets and KPI’s as set.
  • Analysing competitor activities in the region and assessing opportunities for business development.
  • Networking and building relationships with key business partners and OEM’s in territory.
  • Attending relevant industry events, exhibitions and conferences to build business.
  • Working closely with Senior Territory Manager, HQ and other territory sales manager’s.
  • Developing sales strategies and plans for territory.
  • Monthly sales reporting and administration of customer database and CRM system.
  • Representing and build the Peak brand in the territory.

The role will take responsibility to ensure we gain maximum market coverage across the UK South territory.

THE CANDIDATE: Preferably educated to Degree level you will have a proven sales track record with relevant industry experience (B2B) in Life Sciences, Biotech or Pharmaceuticals.  With a clear customer focus, you will be an excellent problem-solver, both technically and commercially.  In addition to strong business acumen, you will be happy to be measured by results, whether that is new business revenue, development and growth of existing business and/or effective territory coverage.
