Territory Manager: Viet Nam, based in Ho Chi Minh City, responsible for different accounts throughout Viet Nam

THE COMPANY: Peak Scientific Instruments are a multi award winning company, who specialises in the manufacturing of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, with our head office based in our modern facility near Glasgow International airport in Scotland.

We have been developing award-winning gas generation products since 1997 and now employ 360 people globally in 20 international offices, with a turnover of £45M. Over the last five years the company has enjoyed impressive annual growth between 25 and 30%, overall and 60% growth across the service division, selling 90% of our gas generator products overseas to over 120 countries.  Individuals who fit our culture and values will have a high degree of professionalism but appreciate our non- corporate feel in a fun atmosphere.

With this continuing success and growth we are looking for a Territory Manager in Viet Nam to drive sales and profitability with our end users as well as our OEM Accounts and our extensive distributor network in Viet Nam, for all Peak Scientific Products.

THE ROLE: Reporting to our SEA Territory Manager based in Bangkok, as a Territory Manager in Viet Nam, you will be expected to manage and develop the business with Peak’s OEM distributor accounts, tap into the Vietnamese end-user market and find new sources for leads and attend exhibitions and seminars as appropriate. You will also be responsible for:

  • Providing sales advice and support for distributors/customers to assist them purchase our generators by offering solutions for their gas requirements.
  • CRM Database Maintenance - ensuring the accuracy of customer contact details in the territory and ensure accurate recording of all relevant information. e.g. quotations, communications, monthly reports
  • Negotiation – to win the business, negotiate discounts and try to win the business without negatively impacting the overall margin of the generator sale.
  • Strategic Planning – look at the various regions/sectors within Viet Nam, seeing where we don’t have market coverage and then target these areas for development.

THE CANDIDATE: We are looking for a well-rounded candidate who can add value to our organisation with the following skills:

  • Experience in technical/laboratory sales and working with an international company
  • Experience in managing distributors
  • Great communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience in gas business (cylinder or generator)
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English
