THE COMPANY
Peak Scientific Instruments are a multi award winning company, who specialises in the manufacturing of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, with our head office based in our modern facility near Glasgow International airport in Scotland.
We have been developing award-winning gas generation products since 1997 and now employ 450 people globally in 20 international offices, with a turnover of £55M. Over the last five years the company has enjoyed impressive annual growth between 25 and 30%, overall and 60% growth across the service division, selling 90% of our gas generator products overseas to over 126 countries. We have an expanding operation in India which is headquartered in New Delhi as well as offices in Mumbai and Hyderabad.
 
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Regional Manager for Central and South India, this role will be based in Vishakhapatnam and will involve extensive travel in the region and will be responsible for:
  • Delivery of monthly and quarterly orders and sales forecast
  • Creating and managingsales funnel and sales productivity
  • Ensuring market penetration to ensure all products are visible in the targeted segment
  • Tracking competitive activities and implementingcountermeasures to ensure Peak Scientific’s continued leadership in the gas generator market
 
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will be a customer focussed individual, who has a minimum of 5 years’ experience or equivalent, in selling scientific/analytical instrumentation in the Southern region of India preferably working in the Hyderabad and Vizag.
 
You will need to be passionate about international business and be able to adapt to and communicate well with different cultures.  You will be a self-starter and highly independent as this is a fairly autonomous role.  You will be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills in either technical or commercial situations with strong business acumen and will have a proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.  You will be quite happy to be measured by results, whether that’s new business revenue, development and growth of existing business and/or effective territory coverage. Strong written and communication skills are essential as well as Microsoft Office skills.  Excellent English is essential for this role.
