Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing company specializing in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market is looking to recruit a Territory Sales Incharge for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. 
 
We are an award-winning company, with our head office based in Scotland, by Glasgow Airport and have a very strong reputation in the marketplace.  Our current turnover is £80M, with plans to grow significantly over the next few years.  We export 90% of our sales to approximately 126 countries and have several global offices including USA, China, South Africa, India, Brazil, Singapore, Mexico and Australia.
 
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this role will be based at Mumbai in West India and involves extensive travel.
 
The Job:
Accountable for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory.  Develops and implements agreed upon Business Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer sales in the assigned geography. Works with the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company business strategy.
 
 
Main Job functions:
  • Creating and managing sales funnel and contribute to the regional achievement
  • Delivery of monthly and quarterly orders and sales forecast
  • Developing and delivering proposals to customers by illustrating Peak Scientific’s value proposition.
  • Ensuring market penetration to ensure all products are visible in the targeted segment
  • Tracking competitive activities and implementing countermeasures to ensure Peak Scientific’s continued leadership in the gas generator market
  • Ensure receivables are on track and payments realised
  • Sell consultatively, detailing products, determine customer needs and requirements, and makes recommendations of the various solutions we can offer their business.
  • Build and sustain relationships with customers and ensure customer loyalty.
  • Represent and develop strong relationships with OEM manufacturers.
 
The candidate:
  • Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager – West India, this role will be based in Mumbai and may be transferred on demand to any part of country if situation demands, will involve extensive travel in the assigned territory.
  • The successful candidate will be a customer focussed individual, who has a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in selling scientific/analytical instrumentation. 
  • Business to Business Sales Experience. Excellent analytical skills and ability to sell strategically within an account
  • Ability to travel up to 60%
  • You will need to be passionate about international business and able to adapt to and communicate well with different cultures. 
  • You will be a self-starter and able to manage your time optimally. 
  • You will be a person with business acumen and will have a proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. 
  • You will be quite happy to be measured by results, whether that’s new business revenue, development and growth of existing business and/or effective territory coverage.
  • Strong written and communication skills are essential as well as Microsoft Office skills.  Command over English and Hindi is essential.
  • Atleast Science / Engineering degree (Masters / Management degree will be added advantage)
