Senior Stockroom Associate - Massachusetts

Peak Inc. is the rapidly expanding North American arm of Peak Scientific, with its main US office located in Billerica, Massachusetts, and plans for significant further growth over the next few years.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse professional with three (3) years of experience to work in our small-scale distribution facility supporting Peak field engineers throughout the US and Canada.

You will blend your knowledge of Warehouse functions with Shipping/Receiving to handle recording shipments from suppliers, stock received items, pick & pack, conduct cycle counts, supporting all other warehouse operations.

Your experience with an ERP system can transfer to success in supporting the recent implementation of SAP Business One (B1) as we continue to develop and streamline processes such as auto-replenish and min-max stock levels.

Other key duties include:

  • Ensure shipments arrive to customer site & update B1 system with tracking number.
  • Coordinate with service schedulers on shipment needs & deadlines.
  • Manage day-to-day operation of the warehouse area, including but not limited to shipping/receiving, order fulfilment and processing.
  • To unload and verify deliveries, ensuring that shipping info and proper count is accurate and paperwork is detailed and completed.
  • Utilize SAP B1 to ensure all shipments, both incoming and outgoing, are properly recorded and maintained to provide accurate count of company stock.
  • Preparation of all required shipping documentation.
  • Undertake stock counts and checks as and when required by your manager.
  • Off-loading and loading of deliveries and stock movement by hand or using forklift.

 

 Resilient and effective in the face of pressure, you also have:

  • Sense of urgency with a high attention to detail and the ability to properly prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to communicate verbally formally and professionally and/or through e-mail.
  • Certification of power-truck equipment (preferred, but optional).
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and follow up skills required.
  • Ability to work independently demonstrating initiative.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite, ERP system.

Working Conditions for this position:

  • Be physically able to perform the job duties including bending, stooping, sweeping, climbing stairs and ladders, pulling, grasping, and walking on uneven surfaces.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. This may include bending and twisting of the back and torso to support these objects.
  • Proper eyesight/vision to be able to identify product by size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
