Warehouse Operator - Massachusetts

Peak Scientific Instruments an award winning Scottish Company, specialising in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operator to join our growing team in Billerica.

Reporting to the Service & Operations Manager – North America, you will be responsible for the day to day management of our warehouse. The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a fast paced warehouse environment as well as possess knowledge of computerized stores systems.

Key Duties:

  • Manage day-to-day operation of the warehouse area, including but not limited to shipping/receiving, order fulfilment and processing
  • To unload and verify deliveries, ensuring that shipping info and proper count is accurate and paperwork is detailed and completed
  • Utilize SAP to ensure all shipments, both incoming and outgoing, are properly recorded and maintained to provide accurate count of company stock
  • Maintain high level of organization, cleanliness, and order at all times
  • Preparation of all required shipping documentation
  • Prepare and ship all orders, ensuring these are appropriately packed and labelled
  • Undertake stock counts and checks as and when required by your manager
  • Undertake off-loading and loading of deliveries and stock movement by means of hands or forklift truck
  • Aid Logistics Officer to help maintain all required stock through order replenishments.

With strong communication skills, you will work with a strong sense of urgency and have the ability to prioritize effectively. You will need:

  • Previous Warehousing / Storekeeping experience
  • PC literacy & skills (Excel & MS Word)
  • Power- truck experience would be beneficial (desirable)
  • Experience in materials systems (experience of SAP would be an advantage)
  • Self-motivated with a keen sense of enthusiasm
  • Experience of working in a physically challenging role.
