Warehouse Supervisor, Service - Glasgow

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for driving efficiency to secure exacting results in the management and delivery of your respective Warehouse Area to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

Duties will include:

  • Acting as a senior focal point to ensuring that all policy and procedural processes are adhered to and reflected in Inventory Management System (SAP B1). 
  • Actively seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement to realise Warehouse efficiency and overall effective contribution to PEAK goals and objectives.
  • Supporting the Inventory Controller in their role, to ensure your teams carry out preparatory work for effective Cyclic Programmed Stocktaking.
  • Assuming HR Line Management responsibilities for your team.
  • Acting as the Transport & Mechanical Handling Equipment Co-ordinator.
  • Advocating and practising the ‘5S Lean’ methodology.
  • Monitoring, reporting and recording building defects.
  • Supervising, instilling and maintaining a high level of Warehouse housekeeping and actively exploring opportunities for continued improvement.
  • Acting as the Warehouse Building & Security Manager and as the H&S Risk Assessor.

The successful candidate will have previous Supervisory experience in a Warehousing and Inventory Management environment.  With experience in the management, development and Supervision of personnel, you will bring a positive attitude with good interpersonal and teamwork skills to the role.

You will also possess:

  • An adept ability to quickly problem solve and implement well thought out solutions.
  • Good working knowledge of performance metrics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Punctuality with an infectious work ethic.
  • Computer literate Microsoft Office (SAP B1 experience desired) and capable of operating an integrated computer system.
  • An acute sense of ownership, pride in performance and output to improve business.
