Job: Warehouse Supervisor

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8.00am – 4:15pm, Monday – Friday
Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing company specialising in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators are seeking to hire a Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team here at Peak HQ, in Inchinnan.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong people manager to develop our Warehouse team and drive improvements to our current processes.
THE ROLE: Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, you will be responsible for the management of our Warehouse and team of 17 Warehouse Operators. Duties will include:

Managing the day to day operation of the Warehouse area, including but not limited to shipping/receiving, order fulfilment and processing

Leading the Warehouse team to ensure KPI’s are met, ensuring efficient work level and performance standards

Observing & maintaining all Health & Safety standards in line with company policy

Shipping gas generation units and parts orders, ensuring these are appropriately packed and labelled

Achieving daily target to ensure customer demand is met

Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive the business forward
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment as well as possess knowledge of computerised stores systems. You will be a self-starter, who is comfortable working to targets. You will also possess:

Previous Management/Supervisory/Team Lead experience

Excellent IT skills including MS Excel & Word

Experience of ERP systems (preferably SAP)

Self-motivated with a keen sense of enthusiasm and the ability to motivate a team

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure
