THE COMPANY: Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing company specialising in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market are seeking to hire a Warehouse Team Lead to join our growing team here at Peak HQ, in Inchinnan.
We have gained an outstanding reputation in the market place, having recently won our 6th Queen’s award for industry. We have plans to grow significantly over the next few years.  90% of our products are exported to over 130 countries and we have a growing number of global offices including USA, China, South Africa, India, Brazil, Singapore, Mexico and Australia.
THE ROLE: Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management of our Warehouse and team of Warehouse Operators. Duties will include:
  • Managing day-to-day operation of the Warehouse area, including but not limited to shipping/receiving, order fulfilment and processing
  • Leading Warehouse team to ensure KPI’s are met and manage work level and performance standards
  • Observing & maintaining all Health & Safety standards in line with company policy
  • Shipping gas generation units and parts orders, ensuring these are appropriately packed and labelled
  • Achieving daily target to ensure customer demand is met
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive the business forward
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment as well as possess knowledge of computerised stores systems. You will be a self-starter, who is comfortable working to targets. You will also possess:
  • Previous Management/ Team Lead experience
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Excel & Word
  • Experience of MRP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Self-motivated with a keen sense of enthusiasm and the ability to motivate a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Drive to improve the business
